Every single time I read about Lady Gaga, she seems to be doing something new all across the world. From concerts, to new albums, to sites such as mine that give her coverage for dressing up like Kermit the Frog, she knows how to promote herself.
And now, Lady Gaga has just met the queen of England, Elizabeth II, at the Royal Variety Performance in Blackpool, England, which is pretty amazing. What’s even more amazing is what some of her former classmates at NYU are doing (I have met a few of the people that knew her when she was a freshman there). These activities include getting fired, struggling to find a job in this economy, complaining about their lazy boyfriends and waking up nude in strange places.
Lady Gaga, being her awesome self, wore a “throwback” dress inspired by Queen Elizabeth I, seen below:
Like meeting the Queen of England was an excuse to dress normally, Lady Gaga laughs at those shenanigans. Yet she still is polite and courteous enough to bow in front of the Queen:
Love her or hate her, her ridiculous outfits and love of self promotion are gonna keep her around for many years to come (until she runs out of cool shit to wear). Which is the total opposite of what I can say for the current crop of “casting couch” bred “leading ladies” that appear all over the CW network. If you don’t step your game up, you will slowly become just like Misha Barton, who people only pay attention to nowadays if she does something stupid or becomes suddenly fat.
