The New York nightlife scene is one with constant ADD. Clubs come, clubs go, people follow, you know the story.

However, one thing that has remained a constant is Marquee - since December of 2003 it's always been a hot spot, sometimes skyrocketing in popularity, sometimes dipping, but always remaining near the top. With musical variety in its rooms, and crowd variety inside its doors, there's something in there for everyone.

Celebrity sightings remain constant, yet due to its longevity and popularity, you can often find a large "beginner clubber" crowd - relaxed, unpretentious, and without a need to chase names.

The only thing bad I've heard about Marquee is that it can be difficult to get in. That's where I'm here to help with some of  my proven and tested promoters.

TUESDAYS

Do the stars ever come out on Tuesdays or what? Or maybe Ibrahim is just a lucky charm. Every week, on the dot, he tells me of a different celebrity that was at the table next to him, and he handles it all with ease. Friday nights in Marquee belong to my two superstar promoters I mentioned in the M2 review, Evan and Matvey. A call beforehand and a call right when I showed up and before you know it I was inside mingling. Very fast, no line, maximum efficiency. And Matvey even went above and beyond what any promoter should do - he saw me talking to a girl, swooped in and performed excellent wingman work! I was absolutely blown away. It's the little things that make people good.

Look, its Ronald Mothafuckin Weasley (Rupert Grint) at Marquee in NYC

Oh snap! It’s Rupert Grint, aka everyone’s favorite ginger kid Ronald Weasley (that’s from Harry Potter for those not in the know), posted up outside Marquee!!! No word yet on what exactly he did while inside, but this is a pretty darn cool sighting.

So did he bug out or did he behave? If anyone knows – holla!!

EDIT: He is so cool that he actually beat Swine Flu. Yes, THAT Swine flu. Ain’t no thang for Ron Mothafucking Weasley. Here is proof (and who will disagree with BBC).

Edit 2: The other dude in the picture is NYC club promoter Will Moon. So far I  heard he’s pretty pro. Check out his facebook group or give him a call if you want to party – 206.398.9924

Edit 3: Turns out they  actually weren’t able to get in! There were some 19-20 year old in the group and even the swagger of Ronald Mothafucking Weasley (swine flu destroyer) wasn’t enough.

Soulja Boy was hanging out contemplating the complexities of the modern political system with Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliot at M2 yesterday in NYC. Teenagers out there – wanna get into the hottest clubs? Sell some records (or get a fake ID, either or).

Last but not least, we have Leonardo DiCaprio thuggin out at a Lakers game. Look at the reactions of the people around them. The facial expressions range from chock and awe, and of course the guy behind Leo who is basicly thinking “shit…. I am not as cool as him”.

So there you go – get fameous and go underage drinking in a hot club while breaking the dress code, grabbing ass and thuggin out so thorougly that girls around you will be looking at their boyfriends like a serious dissapointment lol

Hulk Hogan Parties in Marquee, Diddy in Vegas and more

Sometimes it’s good to be available last second, because it creates some pretty damn awesome moments. Remember that party at Marquee in NYC I mentioned Friday? Well Hulk freaking Hogan was there, sitting with the promoters that I recommend for Marquee (shout out to Matt and Evan). I don’t have a pic of the night, but I imagine it looked something like this:

So yes boys and girls, Marquee in NYC is still the spot.

Over on the west coast, Vanessa Minillo and Nick Lachey were seen leaving MyHouse in LA. First of all – I’m pretty sure these guys were split, second of all I’m pretty sure these guys didn’t have jobs for a while, i guess the recession is affecting everyone. But seriously – what has Lachey been up to?? Even his look alike 12-Pack from VH1 has been getting more work lol. Anyway, here’s a pic:

Carmen Electra and Khloe Kardashian were spotted at Zune LA (SOURCE). Apparently this club is owned by Microsoft! That’s a new addition to the club game, lol, I wonder if they have XBoxes.

Special Event Tonight at Marquee in NYC

Hi everyone! It’s Friday afternoon, you might be at work, wondering the eternal question – what the fuck am I gonna do tonight. My promoter friend Matvey – the guy that dazzles on a regular basis at Pink Elephant, Marquee and M2, sent me this message about a MASSIVE yearly celeb filled party going down tonight at Marquee in NYC. So, I’ll hand the mic over to him (not really, its a copy paste lol). Take it away Matvey (FYI – the pink room is pretty much the awesome super room at Marquee, its awesome)!:

Hey everyone!!!!! The biggest event tonight at Marquee!!!! This event is held once every year. There will be a live performance at the pink room. We will have VIP bracelets and tables and bottles around the whole club. With the VIP bracelet you can get one free drink in the pink room. Without the VIp bracelet you can party in the main room and the upstairs. You may also have drinks from our tables. DJ Jared will be preforming in the techno room with his latest music. It is very important to call me in advance because i have limited VIP bracelets.

Must come on time on the right side. There will be a lot of celebrities tonight so you must be dressed very well.

April 27 club media blitz

Yes yes!!!!!! I knew I had a feeling that USC standout Mark Sanchez will be a Jet, and wham – there we go!!!! Can’t wait for the season to start. Now, be on the lookout for this man to make many personal mistakes inside the hottest clubs lol. Just please remember NYC has very strict gun laws (caught, Plaxico, cough cough). Now lets see what else was hot:

General Stuff:

Be on the lookout for actors all over NYC due to the Tribeca Film Festival. And I’m not talking about the “I’m a triple thread model-singer-actress” type you meet every time you go out (who doesn’t have a job lol), I’m talking about legit “I do it for the love and challenge of acting” actors. For example – Greenhouse hosted a film premiere after party this past Sunday with Andy Garcia!!!! Andy Garcia’s acting >>>>> Lindsey Lohan’s acting. So keep checking up on the festival!

Saturday, April 25

  • As seen by the pic above, The Pussycat Dolls (however many there are in there nowadays), were hosting at Pure nightclub in Vegas this weekend. Apparently there were some spats between some of the members, but I don’t really care because they all seem interchangeable, or at least that’s how they’ve been marketed lol.

Friday, April 24

  • Fat Joe and Al Harrington of the New York Knicks showed up at Marquee in NYC, according to my loyal readers, concluding their series of pre draft parties. LeBron James was nowhere to be seen BECAUSE HIS TEAM IS IN THE FUCKING PLAYOFFS. Just sayin.
  • Marissa Miller, who in my opinion is the hottest person alive, was hosting at Jet nightclub in Vegas. ((insert witty comment here, too busy looking at pics from the SOURCE)).
  • And there’s also Ciara, partying in London’s Bungalow 8, and looking pretty darn amazing doing it.  Coincidentally, I’m listening to “Oh” featuring Ludacris as we speak

That’s two Tuesdays in a row that we have had celebrity sightings in Marquee on Tuesdays in NYC. And better news – I have found a promoter that works that club on Tuesdays ((he will be included in my big update, stay tight)). So, so is it gonna be next week?

Huge NYC Update Coming Soon!!!!

So in between all the drama and time commitment of moving, I made the time to speak and test out several great promoters around the New York City area, and I was surprised to say that none of them dissapointed.

So, can’t wait to see how to get in to Marquee, M2, Imperial, Mr West, Greenhouse and Pink Elephant on many different days without  any drama whatsoever? Then stay tuned, as in the next few days there will be a HUGE update. Also, I got several other NYC clubs on lock that have yet to have celebrity sightings, but as soon as they do – BAM.

New York random Tuesdays = Michael Phelps and Busta Rhymes

The benefit of going out on weeknights (especially in NYC) is that you’re way more likely to run into celebrities that don’t bother with such silly stuff like waking up early in the morning:-)
So last night brought us two really awesome appearances.

First off, Busta Rhymes was at Mr West celebrating Kid Kudi who recently signed with his record label (SOURCE, photo courtesy of jenthepen.com).

And, the man, the myth, the human shark himself Michael Phelps was at Marquee last night.  No word if he was wearing all of his medals at once, but a boy can only dream.  (TMZ has a vid of Michael dodging a pot question on his way to the club)
